Music teacher Makai

makai sighed again, "I left because...i couldn't take it anymore.The drug rings, the slave rings, the assassinations, the wars it got a bit to much for me. The life of a Mafios isn't pretty. the underworld, black market and everything else illegal. I know the exact location of every base operations my family and the others were associated with. Normally i didn't care. Most of my targets i never gave to much thought about them a simple single kill....but it was my last assignment that did it. i was told to kill a man as usual and not get caught. His wife ended up walking in as i killed him. I had no choice but to kill her as well....but that isn't what got to me...i killed...a little 5 year old girl...." Makai collapsed to his knees. Tears dropped to the carpet.

At first, Aja was horrified. This man had killed so many people before, and then a little girl, no more than five years old! She was shocked, this man, who had seemed so nice, was a killer, a murderer. But then, Aja saw the tears on the carpet. He was in pain. The emotional scarring that could come from killing a five year old girl was unimaginable. Aja said nothing. What was there to say? She got up from her chair and went over to Makai, wrapping her arms around him in an attempt to comfort him.

Makai was startled when she wrapped her arms around, "S...She startled me that night...out of reflex...I...I..." He couldn't finish his sentence. His eyes turned black and he started to cry tears of blood.

"Ohmygosh!" Aja saw the blood and pulled a pack of tissues out of her pocket. She pulled out several tissues and began to try and wipe away the tears of blood. "Hey...hey, don't cry, it's okay, your alright..." One of the drops of blood fell on Aja's hand, and her eyes glazed over and she stood straight up. She was looking at a white room. In the room was a little girl, about five years old. She had a huge hole in the middle of her chest. "I forgive you, Makai..." was all she said before the vision vanished and Aja was standing in the living room of Makai's apartment. She looked at Makai, who was still crying. "Makai!" she said. "She forgives you!" she said, hoping he would be happy with the news.

Makai looked up in shook the tears of blood continue to flow. His left eye turned blood red crying regular tears, "W...W...What did you say." His voice was shakey his entire being shook.

"I saw her." Aja said. "It happened when your blood hit my skin. She had white ears, with black tips, right? She said, "I forgive you, Makai."" Aja got more tissues and wiped off more of Makai's tears.

Makai was startled by this. He'd never thought that he'd here those words not after everything he's done. He raised his palms to his hands. Blood poured onto the ground. He looked up his left eye had stopped crying. he wrapped his arms around Aja and embraced her in a warm hug. The tears of blood had stopped dripping. His right eye was red again but salty tears continued to drop, "Thank you."

Aja hugged Makai back and said "It's okay. Your forgiven." soon, Aja was crying too. She sniffed a bit and pulled back after a while. "Hey, can you teach me to play the keyboard?" she asked. "You are a music teacher, arn't you?"

Makai smiled at her. he chuckled slightly. he helped her to stand, "Of course Aja-chan i wouldn't have gotten a position as a music teacher if i couldn't. Come with me." makai head down a hall way to a door.

Aja followed. "I can play the penny whistle and the ocarina, but I really want to learn to play the piano." she said as the walked down the hall together. "My sister plays the guitar, but she doesn't like the piano as much."

Makai opened the door to show a giant room filled with nearly 5 of every instrument imaginable. 5 large piano's up the back. Hundreds of guitar, dozens of drum kits and many more. Makai walked in, "Welcome Aja to my instrument room."

"Woah..." said Aja. She looked around the room in wonder. "This is amazing! How...where...Oh, wow!" Aja ran to a black piano. She looked up at Makai. "Makai, will you play a song for me on the Piano?" she asked.

"I don't specialise in playing the Piano but i should have a couple of tunes i can play." makai pulled the top off revealing the shiney keys. he took a seat and cracke is knuckles. he layed a few notes testing the keys. he stated to play od to Joy by Beethoven. He closed his eyes and concentrating playing each note.

Aja closed her eyes and let the music take her beyond the darkness in the world and to bright hope that Makai and Aja had found in each other. It was strange how life worked itself out, how if Aja had not followed Makai to the Music studio, if the mafia hadn't found him, if they hadn't kidnapped her, she never would have been able to bring Makai any peace. But that is the way it happened, and she was glad for it, and would not forget.
